Monica is a Senior Associate and the Director of Marketing and Business Development for PWP. She has 16 years of combined experience in the practice of landscape architecture, city planning, marketing, and web design. Her cross-disciplinary work is motivated by a deep interest in the interactions of art, ecology, technology, and social justice. Monica previously directed online communications and outreach for the San Francisco City Planning Department, and in 2007, co-founded an online marketing firm creating digital experiences for Fortune 500 companies. She is the recipient of numerous awards including UC Berkeley's Geradline Knight Scott Fellowship (2014), an ASLA Honor Award in Communications (2013) as Co-Editorial Director for GROUND UP Journal: GRIT, and a 'Bright Ideas in Government' Award (2012) from the Ash Center for Democratic Governance and Innovation at Harvard University for her collaborative work on the San Francisco Property Information Map. Monica earned a B.A. in history and social change from New College, and an M.L.A. from UC Berkeley.
