More than 50 years ago Peter Walker, in partnership with Hideo Sasaki, created the setting for a statue that remains a focal point of children’s activity in Central Park. The sculpted group of Alice, the Mad Hatter, the White Rabbit, and Dormouse is surrounded by a ring of benches that have drawn Manhattan families for generations.
