Peter Walker will speak at this prestigious conference, which has become a “Renaissance Weekend” for well-known California architects, more than 700 of whom are expected to attend.

PWP Partner Matthew Donham, will present, "Structured Plantings at the 9/11 Memorial" as part of a panel discussion at the NYC Million Trees Advisory Board Annual Meeting. 

Michael Dellis will take part in an intensive 2-day charrette organized by the Landscape Architecture Foundation and sponsored by Landscape Forms.  This unique professional development program teams select young professionals with prominent landscape architects, in which participants develop design solutions for urban initiatives. Xtreme La will take place at the University of Arizona, Tucson.

PWP partner Adam Greenspan will take part in a nine-person panel discussion sponsored by the San Francisco AIA on September 22: "Grand Central of the West." The $4.2-billion Transbay Transit Center, a modern regional transit hub connecting eight Bay Area counties to the State of California, will include a PWP-designed 5.4-acre public park on the roof of the bus and rail station.

During the week leading up to the 10th anniversary, PBS will present new and encore programs on the events and the aftermath of 9/11. NOVA's "Engineering Ground Zero," which follows the five-year construction of the Freedom Tower and the World Trade Center Memorial, premieres on Wednesday, September 7, 2011, at 9:00 p.m.

Adam Greenspan has been invited to lead an urban design workshop at St. John International University in Torino, Italy - Modern Cities Transformations: Toward A Sustainable Growth, in which international students will envision a renovation of historic Piazza Crispi in Torino.

Peter Walker participated in the annual roundtable co-hosted by Landscape Forms and the Landscape Architecture Foundation. This year the topic was about integration-bringing Architects, Interior Designers and Landscape Architects together early in the design process and about creating a common language to facilitate the best possible project outcome.

The symposium features keynote lectures by Peter Walker, who was responsible for the landscape at the Nasher Sculpture Center as well as the transformation of the campus at the University of Texas at Dallas, and Dr. Richard R. Brettell, the Margaret McDermott Distinguished Chair of Arts and Aesthetics at the University of Texas at Dallas.
